So Shedonism that’s the great name of the book they are publishing that’s written by Jenna Maroney from 30 Rock, she isn’t actually Jenna, that would have been a potentially interesting crossover, Jane Krakowski just plays exactly the same character. Maybe a little toned down. I don't know if they wrote the character for her or if she can't act or what happened.

Sutton Foster has to throw the launch party because that’s obvi the kind of thing that assistants who’ve been there 10 minutes do, right? Throw massive important parties for important clients.

There’s a thing at the start of the episode about Sutton Foster being #toooldforcrossfit that was so funny, because all young people just jump in and do super high intensity workouts without warming up and are fine afterwards and don’t get sore at all ever.


Jenna Maroney wants her book to use the #SlutPack! to promote her book because of empowerment or something. This also seemed to be a funny funny joke but again I think I needed man to fully understand this one.



Jenna Maroney thinks her party isn’t going to be cool enough and makes a quip about the current plan being so 2003 so they should just invite Paris Hilton to which Sutton Foster replies “She passed”. The Trout looks at her like she’s mad and Sutton ‘hides’ her blunder by saying ‘because she wasn’t invited’. Does she think Paris Hilton is dead? Why? Is that a joke? What is the Joke? I have no joke here, just confusion. Is thinking people are dead a sign of being older?

Then we had some BORING ex-husband shit. I do not care! AT ALL. EVER.

She did a really weird thing with a bagel where she pulls all the middle out. I guess this is a scoop bagel like her dumb boring ex-husband tried to show his love for her by ordering her without asking if she wanted.

Jenna Maroney kinda sexually assaults Pretty boy at the book launch. The book launch is a disaster. Sutton Foster turns away Jenna Maroney’s coke dealer, Jenna gets wasted and walks into a window, twice. It all goes viral. The Trout turns up to take her home.

The Swede is gross and he and Hilary Duff hook up at the party even though both of them are in relationships and I don’t like this either.

Feminist Criminology

I found this in my Google Slides. It must be from my Criminal Justice Admin degree. I always found feminist criminology interesting.  Most of the social theories have kind of the same starting point - crime is caused by a power imbalance. Marxist theory says that capitalism and financial inequality cause crime. I assume there's an explanation for white collar crime but I can't remember, it may just seek to explain criminality in the underclasses.  Feminist criminology began in the 60’s and 70’s. It was a response to the limited ways in which women were dealt with in the criminal justice system.  Traditionally women were controlled by their family and community. They often were not given the opportunity to commit crimes, and the deviance they exhibited was more commonly moving away from sex based roles of of soft feminine wife or mother figure.
